Earlier this year you guys were a big help in determining which photos to enter into a local art gallery. Now I'm going to be entering another one, and I'm unsure which photos I want to enter.

Oh. My. God. #1 or #8 get my vote. I don't know exactly why, but when I look at those pictures, I get a weird feeling. In a good way though.

#1 is the best specially for an event where you want to generate an inpression, that's the kind of pic that make people think.
One negative that I see on that pic is the message wrote on the bench, I think would look better if you look at the pic and you have to really observe it to get the message, the message already writen is kind of giving away too easy, so it takes away some of the fine art on the pic.

Nice Job Coomer.
BTW what kind of camera do you use ?

I'm mostly just a student at the moment...I go to school full-time and work part-time as a website developer.

1, 5, 9.

1 and 9 especially have that sort of bleakness/hope quandrary; 9 is very interesting with the barbed wire and cardboard. The text on 1 will make some people think it's digitally manipulated it's so good. And 5? I'm just partial to buildings.

Nice work, sir. I think 1, 5, 6, and 8 are the standouts... I like one because of the play between the texture captured by the pavement and brick surfaces. Five is really interesting because the message on the cardboard seems all the more in contrast with the cold industrial setting because of the stereotypical imagry associated with "Jesus"... Six is great because within the photo, the large mass of color and the motion are one- you wouldent have either without both. Because of this, I think it's the standout. 8 is great from a more "typical" standpoint, the right place at the right time (because of the light) to make a hell of a photo. I'm impressed smile.gif

1 is good, because of the asymmetrical balance. 8 is also good, because of the contrast and symmetrical balance. however, landscape photos like number 8 are very common, so it's kind of lost meaning to me(personal opinion). 9 would be good, but the star path is too much of a contrast from the focus on the building. i'd honestly like to see what number 1 would look like without you on the bench. i think it would offer much more of a psychological message, which is important in art.

also, being a fan of asymmetrical balance, i'd have to cast my vote for number 1. with number 8 in second.
