well, i just washed the inside of my engine bay today and WARNING!!! stay away from the ballasts, my left ballast stopped working so i had to pull it out of the car, sprayed the little water that was in it out, and then used WD-40 to get the rest of the water out, then it worked perfectly but i dont know how many times i can do that, so be careful when washing engine bays. And not sure u anyone has the answer to the question i posted ealier, how do we get just replacement bulbs, mine arent burnt out but i want t spare set before mine burn out completely and are past their 3000 hr life. Anyone?

I'm trying to convince the supplier to give me some kind of warranty on them, when I get them to do that then I'll offer replacement bulbs as well.

bad news had to make a quick run out...and turned them on and blew the fuse again!!! womp womp...

would putting in a bigger fuse work!? maybe a 20 or 25???

maybe i didnt install it right...but all i did was
1. took out stock bulb....and put in hid bulb
2. then plugged up the male/female wires from bulb and ballast...
3. then plugged in the bulb to the ballast
4. plugged into the stock harness..

did i miss something....

DO NOT USE A BIGGER FUSE !!!

If they were working fine for t hat little while, I would assume that the ballast are ok, did they both lights seem ok while they were working ? if so, then try to install a relay to take power from the battery.

ive read on the net maybe using a 20a might work...

wut would the problem be if i did use a bigger one?

about useing a relay where would i add it on to

edit: found this while search for a solution

If there is one fuse per headlight, each fuse must be at least 20 amps.

Is there gonna be another group buy? looks like the others went pretty good? Just wondering. I really wanna get some HID's but i just don't know if the HID's would change the color of my hyper white park lights.

I think 5 amp higger won't be too hard on your wiring, but is recomended using a relay so you don't have to change the stock fuses. using higger fuses may cause your wiring to melt as the wires are rated for certain amperage.

yeah i know it would work thats what iam doing now lol. I dont know why the HID kit manufactuer wouldnt reccomend it since the HID are pulling more amperage than stock headlights

I'm pushing the supplier to get them shipped asap.

you know how it is with companies they always wanna take long to deal with replacements and complaints, but he promised me he'll do it this week, so let's see. I'll keep pushing them till we get them.

What was the stock fuse for the Headlights? Increasing the fuse size means increasing current into the wire. I'm not positive about what gauge the stock wiring but if you get another blow out, theres a good possibility that your stock wire is going to melt. More current means more heat... remember that.

Turn your car on, heat it up a little then turn on the HID lights. I know people who use the stock fuse amount ( I keep forgetting how much) and they have no problems with it.
