What parts did Toyota change to get the BHP increase from the 138bhp UK GT up to 178bhp on the jap SSII version?
The reason i ask is as i have the SSII & want to buy some engine mods but as i have to get GT parts i don't want to buy bit's that maybe worse than Toyota used to up the BHP to 178bhp. -------------------- My Celica Is Now For Sale

The head, no emissions, the octane, and the VVTI

QUOTE(Agent21 @ Sep 28, 2006 - 6:02 PM) The head, no emissions, the octane, and the VVTI SS-II = 3rd gen 3S-GE. Which have no VVTI. Alex-UKSC, UK GT's came with 3S-GE's, which is the same engine on your SS-II. |

UK-Spec GT's have 173BHP, not the 138BHP you mentioned earlier. I imagine the JDM SS-II's have a slightly more aggressive ECU to take advantage of the octane they have over there.
