Signs of things to come, think i got some tranny problems coming up Options

I have been driving my celica for over a year now and I can tell if anything has changed with the car. It seems that my shift points have been getting higher within the last year. At first I thought that i was burning the clutch because i slip it. Then i notice my clutch fluid getting low but I dont think thats the problem. I think it might be my tranny which was rebuilt when I aquired my celica from the previous owner. I ocassionally drive by the manuals shift points for good gas mileage and accel. but in a few months while getting up the mph i'll notice the rpms are higher. at first the shift point would be at 1.8k rpm, a couple of months later 2.3k rpm and now its up to 3.3k rpm.

If the tranny goes out before the engine i dont know what i'll do . Im broke and going to college while living off of mummy and daddy. Hopefully my celica can last through my next 2 years of college, I dont want to take the bus. Plus I dont think they would buy me a new car tho . I guess when the day comes i'll have to let my little celica go the big junkyard in the sky.

So what do you think might be my problem or is this something normal ?
