some day i would like to go with a gt35, but its fast enough for the time being. it clicked off a 13.77 at bandimere this summer. I need susp, paint and wheels/tires before i get the 35. I know how much paying for college sucks. But i also know the hood is very difficult to find, perticularly in the united statas. especially with the vents, which are $500 by themselves from toyota, and at least 6 months away. I cant justify letting the hood go for $300. its flawless outside of the spot the paint rubbed through from the container in shipping and most of you guys will need to paint it anyways

nice time there. k i just thought id throw out an offer but let me know if you change your mind. i dont think a new one cost that much either jdm part #'s and prices about 450 for the hood new minus the vents. prices i believe are from toyota world. but again 300 bucks cash and no shipping charges or hassle for you. hard to drop 500 when i dont need it, and ill have to get it painted and a new bumper as well so there is no gap. thanks

"they are megatec hid system". they came out of the gt-fours headlights. they were both functioning. if you want i can send you pics next time i am in the same city as the parts. but that could be anywhere up to a month. unless i am down there because someone buys something wink.gif

the vents are very expensive also. plus shipping costs and taxes from overseas.. It ends up costing like $600 for a new setup. Thats what my buddy kevins setup ended up costing anyway. the down time is the worst part about ordering jdm parts. I ordered an intercooler boot 8 months ago and it still has not arrived.. I have these items in the united states and could get them to a buyer in a matter of weeks. It sucks trying to get parts for our cars, but thats what we get for choosing a car that noone else has! celica gt-four love forever! here's to being elite! thumbsup.gif

actually, you can get ALL the hood parts and hood, brand new, from toyotaworld, thru jeff watson for right about what your asking for used items.
the hood new is 300-350, the 2 rear vents for around 30 ea, the bulge is a little more, and the center vent is around 25 iirc.

um,.. I dont mean to be rude since i am new to 6gc and you are a mod, but it even says on one of the threads on this forum that the aluminum hood is priced slightly under $450, and the center vent is 50ish from toyotaworld. I have also heard from the guy who formely owned the black gt-four conversion before my friend that the rear vents are very expensive because they only come as a painted part. he would know since he is a vendor, and does business with Jeff Watson from time to time. I dont believe you can get the bulge separate for the 205 hood. the bulge is incorporated into the hood itself. you may be confused with parts for the st185rc (carlos sainz edition) hood.
IPB Image
I own the rc bulge and center vent because I intend on fitting it onto my 165 hood(bulge was 270ish, vent was 50-60ish). I have ordered parts from Jeff before. Not to disrespect him, because he does the best he possibly can to get jdm parts, but I ordered my ic boot from him 8 months ago, and still have not recieved it... It is unavoidable that it takes this long to get parts from him. he has to wait for enough orders to fill a container, then it takes a very long time to get here. I have the parts I am selling in my shed at home. This thread is not a debate, please dont clutter it up. i am trying to sell parts which I know many 6gc members are interested in. Im a reputable, knowledgeable, and honest seller, you can ask the members here and on alltrac.net who have bought parts from me.

Xpander- I will get you pics asap. they are just the low beams, the clip did not come with high beam hids, sorry frown.gif

mirackulus- i already sold the front rad support to the guy w/ the white st205 95wrc and the bumper to the guy with the red st204 in Denver

block- all my parts are priced before shipping, sorry forgot to mention that. the bigger items would cost me waaaaaaay too much to include shipping costs

coldbluesteel- I cant sell the hood pieces separate from the hood.. sorry, it would make the hood less valuable. plus, most guys who are interested in the hood itself will need them at some point

Oh and by the way the hood itself retails for 496.67. I got mine thru the local dealer because it was less than having it shipped cross country. I did get a $100 discount on it too, because I have a good relationship with the parts manager. So it only cost me $397.34 and I just tied to the top of my 4runner and drove like 5 miles to my house. Not bad huh? Only waited about a week or two.

So with the hood and grills I think that this a pretty good deal, if the shipping doesn't kill it.

Ps... to pressure it probably was 300-350 when you got yours from them, I know when I looked into it a couple years ago it was less, and it even went up a little over the month when I ordered it. I checked all the options and overall 397.34 total was the best I could find. It is a little less from Toyota world but with the shipping it would of ended up being more.

its good to hear they have the hood in the country sometimes. got the same deal w/ my hood bulge as you did. you just got the aluminum hood right? not the vents? because thats what i hear sucks to get a hold of..

Yeah just the hood, they said it would take a few weeks to get the grills in. I have just been lazy on ordering the rest of my parts. The car won't be on the road for a couple months. So I'm in no rush.
