any one know a shipping company that will ship cars overseas? Options

So, im doing some research on somethin i wanna do in a few years. For graduation, my girl friend and I are gonna head back over to France, but this time we wanna drive instead of taking the train. So ive done some research and found that i can import my own car for up to 6months aslong as i dont intend to sell it, dont intend to ditch it there, etc... any ways so im thinkin of bringing what ever car i may have at that time, over with me. So, what im looking for is a company that will ship cars by sea in containers. Im thinkin of either gettin it shipped to Normandy, Paris (via the sein river) or Nice. So does any one know any companies that will do shipping like this? Im going to talk to my friend who imports his cars from Japan, but thats gonna b on the passific side, i need somthin on the atlantic side.

Why not rent a car? Im thinking it would be cheaper then shipping your own.

i looked into that...for a pretty much basemodel Renault Clio 1.3L Diesel, 5 spd, with A/C for a month and a half of rentals would cost like $2500 through renault.....and if its gonna cost roughly what it costs to ship a car from Japan to B.C. and across ontario..it should be like about $700 cheaper. Plus i would rather have a car that i know how it drives, know how it feels, and know how often i have to fill up. Plus when we r over there we want to go 2 germany and hit nuremburg. Its more of a perfernce thing. Plus, this trip im going to be going for a while and i wanna see alot more of europe than just southern france and Paris.
