with all the crap i've done listed in my sig, i'd be lucky for 120-125 crank...on a good day with a cold tail wind and some magic fairy dust. once that goes through my transmission, 85-90whp is still pretty optimistic. but its not always about making more power, sometimes its about changing where the power is. i fee like i've gone from power at only low rpms to having a nice broad powerband from about 2500-5500 rpm. all through there i feel pull now where before i only felt pull from 2000-3000.

that is at the fly wheel ,on a healthy engine you lose some where around 15 percent to the wheels wink.gif

if you dont have a dyno....do what other tuners do here...u take your base claimed hp and minus by 20..thas your REAL hp figures (approx.)...thas where all the power is going to..your wheels!!.....if u jsu took your motor out and run it...yes itll ahve the full 125-135 hp figures....

the mods u have done may increase hp but dont think itll make a world of change......just my humble opinion

not even close, not even at the flywheel.
the edmonds rating you are refering to is @ the flywheel.
this is what a healthy, 98 5sfe makes @ the wheels, WITH an injen short ram with heatshield.

exhaust is maybe +5, if your lucky, the plugs and wires = 0.

I've got a none Cali spec GT, and I'm guessing something like 150-155 at the crank with what I have. Don't let these guys destroy your desire to mod your car. There are things you can do to actually get hp. But remember, it's not all about hp. Unless your drag racing your car, and even then, there are so many other variables that need to be taken into consideration. I may only be 15 to 20hp over stock, but I will run much quicker times due to the throttle response and handling characteristics.

A lot of people think it's just hilarious to see "noobs" come around trying to build there NA 4 bangers. What I think is funny is someone dumping 6 grand on a new motor or turbo set up, running some 200+ hp and losing to that NA car at the track because he/she out shifts and drives the turbo car. Does that mean if I had the money I wouldn't swap or turbo? No, it does not. And I know even if I did I would get walked on at the track by skilled drivers in almost stock ST Celica's and the dreaded D16 Civics. My point is, hp isn't all it’s made out to be.
