I watched this show on TLC. Now let me say, im usually a cold hearted A$$hole (for lack of better words) but this show literally broke me down. it was horrible. This guy has some kind of skin disorder, his name is Jonny Kennedy. He had been horribly disfigured (he dies at the end of the show) by this illness where his skin, when barely touched, comes off in large portions. In the midst of being in a wheelchair, getting ready to die, and having cancer...he still smiles, cuts up, and tells everyone greiven with sadness about the way he is that everything is gonna be alright. He goes and picks out a coffin. He makes them engrave a Heinz ketchup bottle on the side of it. when asked why? he says "that will give them all something to talk about...i can hear them now...'what the hell is the deal with the ketchup bottle?'...in reality there is no meaning"

He dies at the end of show...just as he planned, he said he wanted his story to be known. It shows a solid 10 minutes of his lifeless body in the wheelchair. Why, i dont know. but it does.

It was just very interesting. Made me realize that in midst of me going through my father having drug and alcohol problems, trying to get back into school, and ending a two year relationship...other people have it worse, and this lil guy is even smiling about it.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

it doesnt get real bad until you see them taking all the bandages off (they covered 75% of his body) half of his body didnt have any skin on it...just like one big blister. He doesnt have any hands or feet. But even right before his death he told the camera men.

"listen guys, before i die, I dont want you all poking me (laughing) and saying is he dead yet? dont give him any more water!"

Thats exactly the way i looked at it.

He even had something to say about heaven...

"I hope that when i get there, there arent just a bunch of angels sitting on clouds pickin' harps. That would be kinda boring. I hope they dont expect me to do that. Ill be the one doing 20 thousand foot dives and pulling up just before i hit the ground. The way i look at it, you should spice things up a bit!"

I had heard something about this, it is amazing how people can just look in the face of adversity and laugh like this kid did. I admire everyone who can live their life in such a way, physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise disabled...you've got to make the most of the time you have, and it sounds like this guy even made the most out of the time he didn't have with the ketchup bottle engraving, lol

TLC has this great "series" of documentaries about people terminat rare diseases liek this. I saw this other one called "ther girl who turned to stone." She has a rare disease where her muscles turn into bone after an injury. And of course, the diseases causes her bones to break easily, so it happens frequently. She was like 6 and wants to be a dancer, but of course with half her body turning into bone, thats impossible. Her body will slowly turn into bone until she will no longer be able to move and then finally her bones crush her lungs. It was SO hard to watch, i dont know if i could handle the one you saw.

When you're in that situation, you see the whole world in a whole different way... Just imagine how that guy sees our "everyday drama". Its like a grain of sand in his shoe compared to a rock for us!

I've seen it, and the way he see things is how we all should see it. Theres no point to argue about it. We all live in a world of artificial beauty and shallowness. This guy puts your world into perspective big time!

Yeah not too many people have that disease where the bone just keeps growing. The guitarist for motely crue has that and man he's on soo much morphine to keep him just able to play the guitar. Watching him move, or try ot move just looks painful to me.
