Basically you're going to need a complete 3S-GE to source all the parts necessary to run the head. Either that or run a custom setup.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen 3S-GE heads have been successfully swapped onto 5S-FE blocks. Only the 4th gen BEAMS 3S-GE head hasn't been done.

The fact that with a 3S-GE all you need to do is just drop it in, wire it up, and you're good to go (Thats if you have everything of course). Mating it to a 5S block requires you to do the same but you will need to do some more things in order to get it to work properly. Like possibly having to modify your 5S-FE block to match the 3S-GE's head water passages. To get a better idea, look for 5S-GTE swap guides. Ignore the turbo-related aspects of it and you'll get an idea of what to expect.

Search the forums about the '5SGE' build. I've posted a LOT about the drawbacks. The short version, high rpm head on a low rpm block = waste of time.

As for the heads... 1st gen were the TVIS versions, 2nd gen were the first smallports, 3rd gen were the second smallports with underbucket shims, 4th were the Beams redtop, 5th were the dual vvti Beams Blacktop.
