I think my starter is going out, i'll explain what's goin on :
The car, if sitting overnight or even 10-15 minutes, won't turn over when I first try to start it. I"ll hear a single click when the key is fully turned to ON, like I usually do, but then nothing. I know the battery isn't dying because I had it tested and usually if the battery is low, you'll hear several repeated clicks from the starter trying to kick over. It wouldn't turn on the first try, but would usually start on the 2nd or 3rd. So today I tried to start it, wouldn't do it. Every time I turned it over to try to start it, I'd hear one single click, then nothing. So, after repeatedly turning it over several times in a row really quickly, it finally started. Almost like I had to generate enough spark or something to get the thing to fire. So... starter, alternator, plugs? what do you guys think? |
