Ok, heres an updated look at what i want to do;

me and pittfirefighter talked and he said he it should work, i just now have to get everything i need, even the laptop. so it might not get done for a little while. there not as easy as i thought to find for cheap.

I know this post is old but I integrated a carpc (successfully). if you need any ideas feel free to bounce them off of me....


all in all i considered the skill level intermediate - only because i wanted a stealth look to the install

the only problem I would consider is that you cant re-point the screen left or right, so if the sun hits it you won't see anything

also, it isnt very expandable... BUT, the specs are 'good enough' to run anything you would want to

also the input voltage is claimed to be 11-13. I dont know about yours, but my celica can put out 14.5 normally. this might cause a problem and you may have to improvise a 12v regulator

On the plus side you wouldn't have to run wires to the back of the car! the inside of the celica dash is very roomy and easy to work with


I'm happy to go take some pictures but its still cold&rainy. I'll take some over the weekend for ya. I had these pics on my work pc in the meantime
