Hmmm........this can possibly be my issue too!!! If only there was someone working on my car, I am so far away from it right now that I can't just go work on it myself =[

Now I am really confused. I did a trouble shoot to figure out why I was getting those codes and all of the sensors are good, the wiring checks out and the ecu should be good(unless I have two bad ecus, becaues they both pop the same codes).
I am out of ideas. Even with those codes the enigne should try to turn over wouldn't it? Is there anything else I should check to get ride of the codes?

Check your E2 wire. It's brown.
It supplies the source voltage for all those sensors.
I'm surprised you don't have a MAP sensor code too.

i have a 93 jdm 3s and its ecu only has one board and no silk screen pin lables.

If you're going by the part# on the case, someone probably swapped a cover or case on you.
There's a reason the 92^ have 2 circuit boards. There is a more sensitive second diagnostic mode on those ECUs. Which is the reason for the second board.
It's not a some do some don't like the 7 vs 9 hole exhaust manifolds, ALL 92^ ECUs have them.
So does the 5SFE for that matter.

im pretty sure it's a 93. i was basing that off of the fact that i have a 9 stud manifold and the plug wires.
my ecu code is 89661-20750=89/10-90/03(superceded to 20751), and i bought the engine in a front clip
I can assure you the ecu/cover wasn't swapped, the screws i removed from there had no signs of even having a screw driver in them. Wait, so if thats the case, did i buy a 91 that had a 93 head put on it....

C'mon man.
I'm really not trying to be a dick. I promise. smile.gif If I come across that way I apologize.
But you just posted the production date of your ECU, and yet you're trying to tell me it's a 93?
Did you not realize that was the production date?

Plug wires/cap are no indication.
They are easily changed.
The 9 hole manifold is less likely to have been swapped. But since the 90/91 heads had all 9 stud holes, it isn't that hard to do.

That or someone swapped ECUs in the clip.
It's happened before. I don't know why in a regular ST185 [I could see an RC], but that ECU part # is from an EARLY ST185. From the first 5 months of production.

no im agreeing with you lol. im saying damn i thought it was a 93 all along until now tongue.gif
I took for face value that it was a 93 because thats what the importer said.
I didn't even bother to justify it until this ecu code just showed me that it wasnt a 93.
I appreciate you and your knowledge, trust me biggrin.gif

Cool man. smile.gif

I think sometimes I end up coming across as a dick when I don't mean to.
Just wanted you to know I wasn't trying to.
