QUOTE(nightryder @ Feb 26, 2007 - 12:02 AM) the underplastic on the passenger side is saturated, so i know its from that side, and i have a loud sqeak from some belt. could the leak be around the tbelt leaking oil into the belt? is there a seal in there that could be blown? and don't worry im checking the oil three times a day depends on the milage after about 90,000 you should have your crankshaft seal, camshaft seal, and oil pump seal replaced aloong with your timing belt and water pump (recommended every 90,000) which is most likely where your leak is and also it may be your valve cover gasket and distributor o-ring leaking in which you would see a wet line down the valve cover. i would thing it was your seals though |

There is no set replacement for engine seals.
Only when they leak or you have to remove them. And just because your in doing a T belt is NOT a reason to change them. Unless they are already leaking. If they're not leaking, don't touch them. But yes, check your cam, main, and oil pump seals. If it's on the pass side it's not your dist, and is probably not your valve cover. It tends to leak on the rear of the engine. Pull your timing cover off to check. -------------------- ![]() |

i just changed my valve cover gasket not even 3 months ago anf my timing belt was done about a year ago.
I'm going to leave her running and get under the hood with that timing cover off to see what i can see. another small thing, unrelated. When i have my car on I get a little belt sqeakage when I'm shifting but it gets really loud and constant when I turn on my blower. how could I silence that? -------------------- ![]() The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed? |
