QUOTE(ILuvMyCelica95 @ Apr 25, 2007 - 10:54 AM) Complaining? -we just found out my step-grandmother has stomach cancer... i have no idea what's going on now. -9 men in my brother-in-laws troop in iraq died in a suicide bombing. He's ok, but could be injured. Not releasing names yet. -My brother in law is being held over in Iraq for another 3 months. -Everyone in my family is stressed out -i've been nauseous for 2 days from my medication ![]() Positives - my boyfriend stayed with me and played with my hair untill i fell asleep last night - i love him more than anything in the world - i've been asked to sing the national anthem at a 5K run and a hs game under the lights at the minor league staduim here. - i have an audition on May 9th - my bumper get's painted sometime this week. sorry to hear about the bads news, well one of our (Aussie) ASLAV is damaged and another destroyed caused by IED's, however we're fortunate not to have any lost of life in that incident, some of my mates are currently there, and really there's only 2 cav units based there, so we're still waiting on the names of those who were injured, i hope that there will be better news for u soon. well my downside is: - LOST is back on in Australia, it should be extinct upside is: i'm still here after hearing all ur problems, i've realised that there are other people that are worse off than me, all i can say is i'll have to deal ith it rather than whining about it, but wit the exception of LOST that is -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(cnelson @ Apr 26, 2007 - 10:21 AM) QUOTE Wanting without making effort, and therefore finding themselves unhappy. Yet we all forget this, and believe all things are out of our hands. If it has bark, if it has leaves, then it is a tree. You find use for the tree, deciding if the tree is good or not, although forget that a tree is nothing more than a tree. If it is not perfect to you, you search until you find one that is perfect. When you discover how rare the one you seek is, you appreciate it. For the time you spent searching, matches in equal in the time spent cherishing. i'm sorry but that does not make any sense its more like.. just rambeling on.. and many people try to be happy, and get the stuff done they have to, but there are things that are out of are hands.. like if a family memeber or close friend dies, or you find out someone close to has cancer.. theses are perfict examples of being out of our hands. Are you sure it doesn't make sense? I don't think you read everything I had to say. Perhaps you should about "Circumstance" which if you knew what that meant, was the things that were out of your hands. But then again, how many out there don't know people die? How many people out there think everyone and everything will last forever? But instead, when something happens, we want to "Mourn" Right? We want to feel sad for a few days. Keep crying because that is what we are feeling. Tell me this, when was the last time you had a break up, and you began to listen to break up music? So you can feel whatever it was until it got old for you, and you were able to move on? Also, I do not believe in the word "Try". If you looked it up, to just try, is an attempt, right? So if you lived with just Trying, there is only luck that would bring you success. It is only an attempt. I like the word "Does" or "Do", much like the word "Make". Those are successful. Try is a pitiful excuse. EDIT: I just wanted to add this. If life was so precious, then why are we not happy with just being alive? As if we were all ignorant to believe life was all about guarantees. If we all had what we wanted, what would be the point of living? Only those who do not understand this, stand in the middle and whimper. If you can look back as a child, and think of the things you wanted so bad like perhaps a Super Nintendo, or a G.I. Joe, and you thought that was all you needed to be happy, where is it now? It no longer makes you happy. Therefore you are seeking something else. I know sometimes the things and examples I say are confusing and might come off like they do not make sense. But trust me when I say, there is a valid point in all of this. Yes, people die and it is out of our hands, and sickness is out there that can prove fatal. But why is it that we do no appreciate what we have and what we had, yet instead, focus on the negative? That is my point in a nutshell. This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Apr 26, 2007 - 12:44 PM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

I'm glad to be out of the hospital, after 6,5 weeks of driving to and from the Amsterdam Medical Centre each day, which is over 60 miles from my home town. All that to have 2 molars and 1 bicuspid pulled.
Why does it take 6,5 weeks you ask? Because 11,5 years ago I had cancer myself, and because of treatments and mishaps I still face the effects today and will for the rest of my life, which sucks. On the bright side, I can't get stressed about anything these days, because I know the problem at hand doesn't even come close to the $h!t I've already encountered. QUOTE I also hate that my cancer came back and I have to get more surgery. It extremely sucks to hear that, I do hope it's well treatable and I wish you the best of care. I know you're in a position most people can't comprehend. Everyone, even doctors and shrinks can't understand what it does to a person to have such an illness unless you've had it yourself. And to all with family with cancer or any form of serious illness, give them the support they need, even though they might not always thank you, they are happy to have people that care for them. A positive attitude helps to remedy any illness. Just my 0.02... -------------------- ![]() |
