I would like to see Jeffs car as featured ride, although
there have been no coupes or verts, only HBs to this point.
If that were the case I would say Coomer or Super.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Coomer already stated he's not ever making himself featured.

And I'm not sure, but I think moderators arent allowed either. But idk on that one.

I don't wanna be an ass, but I'm not comfortable seeing a new member with no post, no respond, no "hi", gets on featured ride that we don't even for sure that it's really his car.

I agree with Tomazws. There are some people on this site who have been here for years and have had no recgonition for their work or cars. Whos to say a car has to be done to the tits to be a featured car? Why do you need JDM tails or JDM projectors or a 3s swap to be the featured ride?? The featured ride is suppost to be about a person who represents this site/club. Just cuz you got shiny paint and a body kit, or have the first of this or the first of this doesnt mean you deserve to be featured ride. Like me, personaly, ive been quite on this site for 2 years. I make my posts, i do my mods on my car, i have put alot of work into it over the last 2 years and ive only had maybe..3 people from this site give a compliment on it, and i think its mainly because i dont have a 404A or C-one front lip and i dont have JDM tails or any thing majour exterior wise.

I think its time to feature people who dont have their car done to the tits and we should get the people who have worked on their own cars, who have done a good job representing this website, and people who dont just flawnt how they put an excess of $ into their car.

thats just my $0.02

it has a G-force 2000 transmission and a moroso competition ford style 9 inch rear end with strange axles. Tires on the back are 32x14x15 good year, all the sheet metal and bumpers are all factory no fiberglass what so ever on the car it's one of the heaviest car in its class, it's weight with me in it is 2300 lbs

You dont NEED anything but a car that stands out from the rest. If people are going to start complaining about their cars not being featured just because they've answered soem questions on the website I can guarantee Coomer would rather just delete the F/R altogether.

Honestly, we're not featuring people here. Its not featured people; its featured ride. The more thats done to a car, the more time and work and effort put into a car is what gets it noticed.

I said it before too: F/R is a CAR that deserves a little extra attention for XXX amount of time. I honestly don't have interest in a run of the mill Celica just because John P. Daily contributes to the site.

^ Thats way to much text I wrote for this subjec.

Oh and who flaunts the money they spent?

might be heavier, but i like the fact how you keep it factory. only one person here who i know of with 5sgte ice23q and his build thread. im sure you could give him some pointers. how did you manage 900+hp out of the 2.2l 5s block?

sounds a lot like coomer. he's done some great things to his car and this site. too bad he won't accept the award. if he wasn't the admin i think things would be different.

I agree with this 100%. I would someday like to see my car be worthy
of the honor, but I have a long way to go still. The rides featured are standouts
in all areas. (engine, suspension, interior, and exterior)

Well this is a touchy subject. smile.gif

So many different aspects come into play when choosing a featured ride. From the exterior to the interior.
The types of pictures you take of your car. To the way you carry yourself on the boards.
Last one not so much, but it helps to be nice to other members. wink.gif

Speaking for myself, when we start to choose a new ride. I look for cars that are "Clean". What I mean by clean is, no mismatching body kits, body lines are nice and tight, cleanliness of the work, and the amount of work done to a car. These are just a few examples. Remember the featured ride would be representing this site, so it has to stand out.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying I only choose cars with 10k plus put into them. A few times I've brought up cars that only have rims and a drop. Other times I choose cars with a kit. The reason why I'd choose these cars was the way they showed up in a picture. If the car is clean, and I believe it can represent this site well in its pictures, then thats the one I choose.

Any member is eligible for featured ride. From New members, to the managment.
One tip I can give you. In your profiles you are able to upload four pictures of your car, use all four. I hate seeing only one picture, also make sure they are clear.

Good luck
DEF

Piro - I have two of these scoops in my garage. One from a Caldina GT4 and one from a Levin SC [belongs to o0black0o but I doubt he would care which one he gets]. If you want one PM me.

I really don't want to be limited by my camera's ability to take pictures though. I think my car is very clean but I need to take some pictures of it with my new work camera. I just don't want my multi-thousand $ car to be limited by a few hundred $ camera.
