yes and no, but if you're going to get one... i found ones that say TRD on them, go for that one... haha
its just a voltage regulator in a big box, it helps your car's electrical system, depending on parts... it has the potential to clean up audio... as far as increasing torque or gas mileage... that's a bunch of BS... it'll make your electrical system last longer but i've heard very few stories of any problems with electrical systems so it works like this... anyone with a cap with LED indicator might know a little about this... when you car is off... the battery puts out between 11.7 to 13.1 volts on average and always changing... depending on humidity and temp... when you turn your car on, between 14 and 15 volts on average.... but its constantly jumping.... 14.1 then 14.9 then 14.7 then 15.0 then etc etc, i think you get the point... this box just keeps that number from changing as quickly... the computer is supposed to get a more steady voltage... that's all -------------------- Breaking Axles...

Like pittfirefighter mentioned it helps to stabilize voltage throughout the entire car's electrical system and helps clean up audio noise. HP and torque increases, like he said, it's BS because I certainly didn't notice it. I got a Bellon Voltage Stabilizer with the LED face so I can monitor battery power and if I am getting good charging power from the alternator. For example, my car when off is read at 12.6. At idle it is at 14.6. If you car's off and it's below 11.5 then you will need to replace your battery. If your car is at idle and reads below 13.5, your alternator is not giving it's full charging capability and may need to be replaced soon.
