I say they have little support because the other engine available is the 2jz, and I don't think anyone can argue against the fact that the 2jz has alot more aftermarket potential

The Celica coupes look athletic next to the SC, but when it's all said and done, the excecution of craftsmanship and quality in the SC puts it on a different playing field. Those folded creases and sweeping hoodline don't age, and iv'e never felt that elegance is trendy... Let's not forget that this car's original sillouete dates back to late 1987 with Toyota's FXV-II at the Tokyo Auto Show

Thanks Chanh55, I really enjoyed that piece. I do admit I’m a sucker for the SC's... That video just reinforces my opinion that the car has a very organic, and in turn, timeless shape. I really feel that a lot of people underestimate the first true Lexus models (LS, SC, and the 92-96 ES) because they were initial attempts in a new market for Toyota, and one that many people expected them to fail at ( and with Toyota refusing to do so). In my opinion (and also supported from comments by Toyota in the past), these 3 cars were built to a standard so high above their price points of the time, they directly forced other car companies (read the Germans) to evaluate how they needed to compete in this market. You still see a large majority of these three cars still on the road today, and they are still in fairly high demand considering their age. Not a bad accomplishment for the underdogs of the time
