 Car problem:( Please help |

I am posting this on behalf of my friend. She drives a Subaru Forester and it's automatic. I drove it today to see what the problem was, and the car would not accelerate past about 35 mph, and the tach was shooting up to around 4,000 rpm. Also, when I applied the brakes, the car would shake(possibly a separate problem). The car just recently had a tune up and had the brakes replaced. Any suggestions for either of these problems?
