Hi Jen,
just my 2¢ worth of long-toothed wisdom and observations. 1- i have never run across a disgruntled Hyundai owner, my baby bro has one they love it. i have a co-worker that swers it is her car maker for life, she's had 3. i grew up with a girl who had a PONY, yes the ORIGINAL North American import by Hyundai. she drove it into the ground (it took her 13 years to do it and she sold it to a farmboy for 500$). 2- if i didn't own a 6gCelica i'd have a Tiburon ( no, not the one with the rediculously large spoiler ). 3- it all comes down to making the payments, don't it?? 4- if it has the V6 package I only have one question-- why aren't you driving it yet? the shifttronic tranny will keep you happy as a pig in...well, you know. OH KRAP!! i just took a closer look at the pics...it has the V6..235 bhp + shiftronic...when do we go for a ride and hunt down Celicas???? no more wisdom, no more observations...sign zee papers BTW I'm with Devilsden ... CHROME?!?!? j/k THIS FROM http://www.autobuyguide.com/2006/12-aut/hy...iews/index.html Final Word The all-new 2006 Hyundai Sonata is a giant step up for Hyundai, moving the brand closer to Honda, Toyota and Nissan, and contesting for buyers considering Ford and Chevrolet. There's nothing unique or especially exciting about driving the new Sonata, save for the fact it's a Hyundai. By that yardstick, and what that portends for shoppers in the class, it's a blast.New Car Test Drive correspondent Tom Lankard filed this report from San Francisco. have fun lass, u b stylin' in that ride This post has been edited by axelrduvirage: Apr 24, 2007 - 5:57 PM -------------------- ![]() |

i think it looks pretty decent. hyundai's are good cars for the price tag. i think it'll be a good choice until you start making real money and can afford a lexus or bmw or what-not.

If your car is just a utility to get you from point A to point B then get the Hyundai. But if the car you own means a little more than just a utility to you then get the S2000. I think you'll regret getting the Hyundai if cars are your hobby.

Crash test result
Looks good to me. But i fear your re-sale value is gonna be lower then expected. It really depends on how long/how many miles you plan to put on it. If your gonna drive the car to the ground, i recomend the hyundai. If your gonna drive it a couple years only and sell it back out, i would get the s2000. Alot of people still have the a fear of hyundai, but as long as the car is new and still has the 100k mile warrenty; there isn't anything to fear. in 2003, hyundai ranked SECOND most reliable. second only to toyota. USA today of course, in the past, they sucked, but at this new century, they are starting to kick butt. affordable, best warranty, and now, really reliable. i actually wanted one of the 3rd gen tiburons but they were too expensive for my budget ![]() having people bash hyundai without knowing any real facts is really gettin old. |

Its how solid built the cars are when they leave the factory. There is no way to test how reliable such a new car is, unless its a complete lemon. IMO, the only way to tell if a car company has turned around with its production is to look at the older cars with 100k+ miles on the odometer and is at least 8 years old. |

They have gotten really good reviews in terms of overall livability from many sources, and as already stated, the newest Hyundais are getting great reviews in terms of inital quality. As long as you keep up on the required mantinance to still have the 100K warranty be valid, i'd say smart choice ![]() Consumer Guide review Car and Driver new car road test Motor Trend Comparo Car and Driver Comparo I'm beginning to belive that buying a "bad" new car is becoming increasingly difficult ![]() -------------------- Car #3: 98 Accord LX- purchased 5/06, totaled 8/06
