4 racoon "pups" i scared the female when i opened the door. she didn't hiss or growl or anything, just looked at me like i was invading her privacy and climbed out of the tire stack and out the door.

First off you don't want to get ur smell on them or the mother will reject them so use rubber gloves. If you don't live in a city build a little home for them that is protected to a degree outside of your house so the mom can find them again and either take care of them there or move them herself. If you live in a city or can't replace them call animal wildlife or pest control, they'll relocate them.

I hate racoons..

Had a scare last summer when I was home a lone at night and for some reason some big ass coon was clawing and scratching at my door. I still have no idea why to this day... There wasnt even anything on my porch!!!

laugh.gif may sound pretty funny and it is now, but at the time hearing that at 1 in the morning and you have the house to yourself is friggen scary!

Call animal control if ya really want them outa your sight lol They know what to do

spot on my friend!! i removed the top 3 tires and left them be. i didn't touch them since i knew if i scented them they would be rejected. i left the shed doors open and when i got back from work yesterday afternoon, they were gone. i an installing netting over the eaves and checking for gaps and cracks.

thanks for the tips and replies. they really are so very cute!! i wanted to domesticate them.

i know i could have delt with this like my neighbour suggested. it involved a burlap sack, a cinder block and a ride in a canoe. i just chuckled nervously and said i might try something different. i'm glad i did. at one point i said to myself "what would Buddah do?" i am not a "religeous" person but i believe all things deserve to live their lives regardless. sometimes though we have to take drastic steps to ensure our health and safety. i try to be humane about such things.
