now as many of you guys know, when i did my swap i was trying to get it done ASAP and i also trusted the condition of my motor seeing as i was getting it from someone who said it had been rebuilt, not from japan.
now here i am a year and some change later, and im about to move into a house with a garage and im gonna be bored all summer so i wanna treat this car right. the main project would be refreshing the motor, ive got an oil leak that i cant really find right now and i feel like removing the motor would be the easiest way to knock out all the gaskets seals and hoses i would need to do to get this motor in tip top shape, id also give it a real good cleaning, paint the heat shield and valve cover, etc. another task i would undergo is putting the ac in my car, i have the lines sitting at home all i need is a condenser, i just have a feeling that putting the lines on with the motor in the car is going to be hard. finally i would like to replace my master and slave cylinders because i get inconsistent shifting, sometimes its butter, sometimes its rough, and i have bled the clutch like 6 times. i feel like this could all be knocked out much quicker if i were to pull the motor, what do you guys think? what would you do while you had the motor out of the car that i have missed? thanks -brian |
