^ Nice work, they look great. I agree about the clear coat though, I'd try another coat and buff it when it's cured? Car's coming along nicely though!

Well, they should be cured...it's been 24 hours. Could I buff through light wetsanding? I appreciate the compliment. thumbsup.gif

And Richee...I have no idea how to reply to that. laugh.gif However, I might rock a dildo shifter over this automatic though. laugh.gif

I'm not sure if I can say this on here but, I once saw a "video" on the internet where a girl used a shift knob in a way in which it was not intended to be used. And moved it back and forth while saying "shift it, shift it." I was laughing so hard tears were coming from my eyes. biggrin.gif

Lol. I borrowed that from a friend, jsut to see what it would look like in the car. I haven't seen that thing in 3 years. It looked like absolute crap, but it was good for some laughs, and it was absolutely without a doubt the most comfortable mod I've ever done to the car. The shifting was so smooth, and I could rest my arm on that perfectly. I was more than happy to give it back to the guy that owns it though. Lol.

QUOTE (samir0189 @ Nov 1, 2009 - 11:55 PM) *
not incredibly sure what to say about your shift knob there Richee, lol. but the last cemetery shot is NICE.

Really? That was actually one of my least favorite shots of the day. I was planning on driving to the Ohio River and getting some good shots there looking out over the water, but it started raining. Thanks for the compliment though!

yeh really i do like it. It has kinda a mischievous look to it.... or something like that. biggrin.gif

Richee...I have no words for that.

They came out perfectly...exactly what I wanted. I might try another clear since they're not very glossy after three coats. Very happy though. biggrin.gif

how many coats of night shade did you apply? how much did the clear coat and night shade cost? sorry for asking so much. ahha i just wanna smoke out my tails too.

^ All good, questions never hurt. I did three very light coats of Nite-Shades, each about 15 inches away since I didn't want them to be fully dark. I followed with about 3 good coats of clear, but this stuff apparently sucks and it's not glossy at all. A can of Nite-Shades costs 12.99 and the clear was about 4 bucks.

No problem. Yes, I wetsanded them. Just make sure you find a vessel large enough to dip the tails in (only the lens, not the whole assembly), or otherwise make sure the lens is properly wet because mine are actually slightly scratched in places because only the sandpaper was wet enough.

Thanks man! I totally agree...I saw them done on another silver 6GC (although he used very thinned-down paint) and I think it looks fantastic. Black and silver work amazingly well together.
