Hello guys, I just cleaned up my car really well and took some (at least in my opinion), good pictures of the car. Please feel free to give me critiques and opinions, I like being told things from a different prespective.

Last night I Dynamat'd my two front doors and my trunk. I also shaved off the rear emblems. Now, the car is stock except for an Alpine headunit, along with Rockford Fosgate front speakers, but I'm getting exhaust done within 2-3 weeks, so watch for new pics.

Factory Toyota wheels, but I'm not sure if they're from a Celica or not, either way, I like them. smile.gif

Thanks for the comments. They actually are Toyota wheels, the car came with hubcaps, with a Toyota symbol in the middle, and say Toyota on the inside where the cap should be, I know for a fact they are, I just don't know from what car, possibly an Avalon maybe. The Dynamat helped out a great deal, the rear now barely makes noise, the car is still somewhat noisy, but you can't get rid of everything.

But I took those spots up just for the pics, lol.

Looks clean Matt. I like how you've kept things stock. Try not to get huge annoying exhaust please! rolleyes.gif

Few suggestions that are cheap:

- new leather shifter boot ...$35 new from local toyota dealer
- sig lighter ...very cheap from junk yard/parts cars here
- ash tray ...very cheap from junk yard/parts cars here
- celica mats ...cheap from junk yard/parts car here, ebay ect.

Just a few suggestions.

I plan on actually getting a new shifter boot soon, thanks. The other things aren't so annoying to me.

As for the exhaust, I'm getting an N1 muffler with 2.5" piping and a resonator (possibly 2), as well as a slight tilt and point up for more straight piping, it's going to be very tasteful. I agree with you on the annoying exhausts as well.

I know how big they are. But what size piping were you running? Did you have a resonator and cat? All of this contributes to it.

BTW, what setup would you recommend?

Personally, i'd suggest trying to find a greddy sp2 catback. They pop up now and again...in fact, think one is for sale in the buy/sell section. They look good (like a nice factory exhaust) and from what i hear, sound really good. I'm actually running one for my V6 swap that's almost complete. They're high quality, good looking, good sounding systems.

I've said this once and I'll say it again: give that car a nice drop with some Eibach Pro-Kit springs and KYB GR-2 shocks along with some Suspension Techniques (my set-up) and you'll be doing good. I'm not sure if you did this already, but if you're gonna toss on an exhaust, get that car breathing with an intake of some sort.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

what's with the cc unit? it kinda looks like it's sunken in a bit. am i the only one that noticed this?
also i would def get some new floor mats b4 you wear a hole in the carpet (unless you have some but they weren't in the pics). that will save you a lot of grief in the long run.
nice car though.

edit: also you are in dire need of a passengar tweeter cover. i don't know what it is but it seems like it gets lost or broken very easily. mine was gone when i bought it and i have seen several other celis missing it as well. you would be surprised how much better it makes the interior look once replaced. also what's up with the shift boots? i have had to replace them on both of my celis. do they just deteriorate really easy or something?

i guarantee that set-up will be loud and annoying as hell. the resonator wont do jack with 2.5" piping.

I went with the 9856, really good head unit. And they're the Punch series.

Haha, touche'! It's a great setup.

And goferris, The CC isn't sunken in, the bezel is slightly sticking out because of the headunit install. I haven't really taken the time to fix it, the headunit just needs to be moved back slightly. And I do have a passenger tweeter cover, it's just that the little clip that holds it in place snapped off, came like that with the car. I'll get around to fixing it one of these days.
