Hi guys,

I've got the gt-four bumper on my car with the stock hood until I can locate the gt-four hood. Anyway, I cut the stock crash bar and used it and right now I have the bumper bolted on at the fenders on either side and at the bottom with all of the underbody plastic.

Is there a special piece that I need to go on the top of the bumper? Right now I'm using the stock black plastic piece with the rubber seal and I have it screwed on near the headlights. Theres a gap in the middle, do I need to have something under the gap to keep the bumper held up or what?

If that's confusing I'll post a picture if it helps. Basically I'm asking how does the middle section attach if there is a 1/2 inch gap in between the bumper and the rest of the car.

Thanks,
Rob

you cant have a gt-4 hood with out the gt-4 bumper and vis-versa...they both wont line up right because ther is a good inch that sticks up....you just need to find yourself a hood

Right now the stock hood is pushing the gt-four bumper back down so its sort of flush. I'm just wondering if I need that black piece on the bumper from a Gt-four or can I use the stock one?

you'll need the bumper to hood seal and the metal retainer for it for the gt-four. or unless you're good at shaping and bending, you can shape out your stock one to fit the gt-four bumper (like what i did). though it's not gonna look 100% perfect... but should be suitable enough until you order the gt-four ones.

**ignore the gt-four emblem, that's gone now**

and as for the front bumper, most people used washers to raise the bumper, or what i did i used these long 2" bolts that match the threading of the stock bolts to raise it up. the bumper is clamped between the head of the bolt and a nut.

I made a couple alluminum spacers with a tapped hole for bumper cover
hold down bolts, and a slot that attaches to the radiator support(edit: bumper support bracket)
, so it has a little adjustment. It works ok but I am in the process of designing and making a full
length bar that works like this but ads support through the whole area with the gap.

Edit: I forgot you are trying to use the stock bumper.nvm
