Hi guys,

Well I finally got some of those multi-LED 194 bulbs. Installed them this arvo:

IPB Image

These are the ones I got: ebay.
I will say that they are definitely bright enough, although a little uneven (as you can see in the photo). But for the price and ease of installation I'm perfectly happy with them. Now I gotta do the A/C control unit and everything else in blue biggrin.gif

Is that all it takes? Two bulbs is all that lights our clusters?

3 type 194 bulbs light the tac, speedo, and fuel/temp gauges. There are a bunch of other type 74 bulbs that do the other parts.

Mangozac: Which multi-leds did you buy? I'm checking out the site and they've got quite a few 194s. Thanks.

Note that the ones I got weren't from VLEDs - the store I got them from is linked to in the first post: link.

They are called 5 LED refractor 194 wedge bulbs, 'spark blue' colour.

Also as a tip to anyone else installing them, if the bulb doesn't work then you have it conected the wrong way. LEDs are polarised (which means that the positive and negative have to be connected a certain way), so just pop it out and rotate 180 degrees wink.gif

Pop the cluster out, there are little holders on the backside of the cluster that you just twist and pull out. These hold the bulbs. There are 3 big ones (bulb size 194) and IIRC about 7-10 little bulbs (size 74) for the little lights. To change the turn signals you will need to remove the black bezel from the front and remove the two green covers that look like little home plates (corny baseball reference) and cut out matching ones from something with similar texture. I used a CD jewel case for mine.
