invertor help, need help Options

i bought a invertor for my laptop. i am going on a road trip tomorrow and this thing works fine in my 95 gt celica and my brothers 99 camry. but it will not work in my 97 celica st. it goes on and off constantly ever 3 seconds or so. i have a capacitor,amp,fogs. i unplugged the main wire going to the audiosystem(amp,capacitor) and also going to the fogs and no change. and i swapped the cigarrette lighters between my 95 gt and 97 st and still did it. i didnt swap batteries because my fob for my celica isnt working and i didnt want to hear the alarm for like 20 mins. now one is there a way to turn the alarm off with the fob not working. i believe it is a factory alarm fob. it says tds. and second is it the alternator,or battery? any help would be great would like to get this working. thanks
