No this is not a joke. There is mouse **** on my transmission and i had to take my fan out for the a/c - heat because it was grinding. why was it grinding? because mice made a home inside it. I am so grossed out i just put rat poison all around the car. What the ****.

I have had it happen twice on a prism and a suby wagon. I had a huge nest on the suby
and a dead one rolling around on the blower fan on the prism, he got stinky. I think
it happens a lot more in urban areas. I always close my system to recirculate instead
of fresh especially when the car sits for a long period of time. I pulled apart the system and
vacumned(sp) everything out real well it was fine.

ugh i just was not expecting to see that when i took the fan out. I guess i need to figure out where they hell they are coming from, and go get some traps tomorrow. I am seriously going to put them all around the car. everywhere. and in the bay where they apparently hang out.
I am so grossed out by this you have no idea.

My hvac used to blow rat nest stuff out and we had to clean it. A celica we was working on to sell had set for a while and before we even turned the cabin fan on I dropped the glovebox and cleaned out that fan housing thing with the blower in it. There was plenty of rat nest and a skin left from a snake that had shed it in there. The snake skin sucked and I was afraid it was still in there but he wasn't but in the end its nothing a air hose and vacum cant fix unless they actaully damage somthing but I had nice rodents who didnt hurt anything sine I sure there is plenty in there they could mess up isnt there?

Last year when mine was in semi-storage (driven once every weekend) it happened to me too- nesting around the battery and on top of the engine by the plug wires... letting it run for about 20 Min. and a power wash got rid of them for the rest of the summer, and then it went back to daily driver status once my accord got totaled, but yeah... I don't think it's too out of the norm rolleyes.gif let anything sheltered sit out of sight and it's bound to happen...

haha silly mouses! i had the exact same thing happen, maybe slightly worse, the little buggers were grabing my dogs food, dragging it up to infront of the engine block and exhaust manifold and leaving it there. the only reason i noticed was cause i was driving along and i could smell cooking chicken. haha. the smell was gross though, and stuck around for so long. theyre gone now though!

yeah i cleaned the fan out and then i cleaned it with bleach. I think i might take the whole thing out to make sure. I made my dad stick his hand throught the fan housing to make sure there was nothing in there.
