My friend gave me a hand by winning this thing for me 2 weeks ago while i was at work. I got it earlier this week and put it in yesterday. Man this thing is GREAT! the shifting feels like a race car. The throws are bit shorter but what does it for me is the way it feels when the gears go in. A great investment, and at a killer price of 115 shipped with the knob. if you guys ever get a chance to come across one, i would highly suggest getting one. Take it easy guys smile.gif

Edit: thank you coomer for having a write up ready for this, i was about to put the spacers in incorrectly tongue.gif

just FYI, its not a "short shifter" its called the TRD "Quick Shifter"
the reason being is that its not much shorter.
the whole idea behind it is that when you shift, your hand should come off the wheel, to the shifter, and back to the wheel as quickly as possible.
the quickshifter allows for MUCH faster shifts, yet still keeps your hand and arm in a position where theyre able to just right back to the wheel for more control around turns ect at high speeds.
ive felt about every shifter setup out there for the 6gc, the TRD setup is by far my personal favorite, for the reason described above, as well as the fact that it tends to be much less "notchy" then most of the other shifters.
good find on the price! smile.gif

Ohh... i didnt knowt there was a diff. (thanks manny thumbsup.gif ), i was wondering why the throws were much shorter like they were on Sphinx's car ( he had a short shifter) i was wondering why the shifter sat in almost the same spot. Either way im still happy with it, the way the gears go in is great and the shifter doesnt sit very low to reach. And the knob looks great too!
