 Vert Rear cross bars?, between the trunk and the backseat |

So i took my seats off and got my sub box finally out, I could never figure out why he did it the way he did it..Then I noticed these two black bars that go diagonally across the open area back there. Its hidden in the trunk by the lining and hidden behind the seats. I never knew anything about these or what they do so i dont know if its stock or not. They seem to be welded in there though... Does anyone know what these are?
