Well this morning I auto opened my drop top and about 3/4 of the way through the driver side part of the top started to close unevenly. frown.gif When it was all the way down the driver side was a little elivated.
When I close my top the driver's side is hard to clamp, when closed and while driving I can hear the wind more so than before.

I've never worked on my top and I'm reluctant to go to a mechanic if it's a problem I can tackle, any one know what might be wrong??? Or how to get in between the canvas to see whats wrong?

Thankx smile.gif

I think maybe one of your motors is shot, making the other motor do all the work.

if one of your motors are shot, dont do what I did and run off just one motor to close and open... Now both engines are busted and Im going to have to buy 2 new motors which I hear can be $200+ each. A tiny lil motor can only bear the weight for so long, so thats something to keep in mind.

Definately. Put your top on manual for now, and check out this thread: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=39973. If that doesn't work, I have one that needs a new pin, and one that works I could probably sell you. PM me if you have any questions with fixing your motors.

From what you said about the motor winding more than usual it sounds like the common problem everyone seems to be having, just check the link that ecaddiction posted and that should work. Mine was just like yours before i decided to look into it. It's really not that hard to replace the pin after you get the motor out. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.
