start by typing "any" not "eny"

remove you spark plugs let the cylinders air out (replace them)
remove your distributor cap/rotor make sure all that is dry on the inside.

did you bother to cover/protect key electrical components?

or did you just spray willy nilly?

I would do exactly what player158 and Bitter said. I wouldn't run it until you've done both.
Have you checked your distributor cap in the dark for cracks? I had one in my old CRX that
was so bad, the car would stall out if it was too humid out.

Dude, you're suppose to COVER UP the intake filter and ANYTHING electrical before you pressure wash. That means distributor, alternator, battery, etc. If they get wet, they will indeed start to crap out on you. And if you didn't cover up that intake filter, your car might be on hydrolock too.

if his car hydro locked it wouldn't run period, and if he tried to run it would have found himself w/bent valves, and really not running.

secondly NEVER EVER NEVER EVER use a PRESSURE washer on your engine.
NOBODY should need to do this
follow this procedure

1. Let the engine run for a minute or two to warm it up. Grease and other gunk is easier to remove when the engine is warm (NOT HOT).

2. Cover any exposed electrical components and anything else you do not want to get a bunch of water on with aluminum foil.

3. Get a can of engine degreaser from your local auto store...they used GUNK Engine Degreaser. Spray it liberally on everything! Don't be shy...they used the entire can. Let is sit for 10-15mins so it can breakdown and loosen all that grime.

4. Get the hose out and spray down everything to remove all the degreaser and dirt and grime. Do not use a nozzle...just the hose is enough pressure. You do not want to blast water into all the engine components...especially on newer cars.

5. Let the water run off for a few mins and start the engine and let is run for 30 seconds to help dry some of the water.

6. Here's the final step spray the entire engine bay down with WD-40. use an entire can and spray it on EVERYTHING! Some substitute Pledge furniture spray instead of WD-40 (believing WD-40 attracts dust).

7AFE is not an interferance motor, meaning the valves will not hit a piston if motor jumps time.

Not entirely true. There was a time when I totally forgot to cover my intake and got it wet and totally forgot about it. I drove him with it barely working on me but never really shut off. I just ramm the crap out of it to get all the water out of the engine. Was probably minor water or wutever that was left on the intake filter after I finished pressure washing.
