Rear Disk Brake Conversion Complete!, Some quicky pictures and experience Options

Well, just finished the rear drum to disk brake conversion last night. Found a the entire brake assemblies off a GT in the junkyard. They were pretty dirty when I first got them, but with a little time and care they turned out good as new.

So how do I rank the conversion? Well it took awhile but when you do one side the other side is easier (provided you dont strip any brake line bolts!!!!).

Do I feel a difference? Well I've only driven her once since yesterday, and I would have to say yes ther is a noticeable difference. But I would not go over board and say its 110 better.

Recommendations
Find the proper size wrench to take off the freaken brake lines!!!!!!!! Dont start the conversion until you do! I had a wrench the fit and worked on one side but did not on the other.

By the whole rear brake assemblies, if possible. It made it a very straight forward conversion.

Soke the bolts in WD40 before starting. It will help.

Use a "cheater bar" when unbolting. a.k.a "plummer's helper" I always keep one in my car.

After Thoughts
Some people say they have slack when they reconnect the ebrake cables. I did not and I dont think anyone else should. See pic of drum vs. disk. I think maybe people forget that the ebrake lines cross underneathe the car. I dunno just a thought.

you should have taken a little time and paint the calipers since they were out anyways, but they look very clean.
