So my rear struts are shot, and I'm told my front ones are leaking, so I'm guessing it just makes the most sense to replace all 4 at once.
Here's the thing... I'm not sure exactly what it is I need. I really don't have a lot of money, and I've found that I can get them for roughly half of retail if I buy them on eBay. From doing a little research, it seems that KYB GR2s are the best way to go. So here's what I've found on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-KYB-GR-...1QQcmdZViewItem These ones are front shock inserts/cartridges and complete rear struts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-KYB-GR-...1QQcmdZViewItem These ones are complete front and complete back. How do I know if I need the complete ones up front, or if I can get inserts/cartridges for the front? I've had my car about 2 months now, and I don't know what kind of shocks/struts are on it right now. The car is not lowered either, nor do I plan on lowering it, but it's my understanding that the KYBs are just better than Monroes, and also are the best to get if you have plans to lower it in the future. I figure that if and when I ever sell my car, this would be a little selling point. Plus, I just don't want to use crap on my car! Any tips, insight and advise is much appreciated! -------------------- ![]() |
