If I had the money I would rather get the R34. I know the R35 is faster but its not like the R34 was slow either. smile.gif

just so you guys know a dsg style auto trans that the gtr will have is faster than an manual shift any person could ever make.

do you honestly believe that it wont boost past 10.5??? come on now.

yes it may be a nissan, but look at the price of the skyline gtr r34 it was the same price if not more.

and keep in mind this car will take out a z06 and a porsche turbo right out the box....thats saying a lot.

Yes I do believe it wont boost past 10lbs

Just to piss everyone off, The ECU's are "tamper proof"" so the boost levels stay at 10.2
I still think is car is amazing

Nissan insists this engine is all-new and unrelated to the VQ sixes that propel the Z car, Infiniti Gs, and others, which is interesting since the bore (95.5 millimeters) is exactly the same. The new six is force-fed by a pair of IHI turbos via an air-to-air intercooler. Max boost is 10.2 psi.

This is the first V-6 in the modern GT-R series (the three preceding cars employed inline-sixes), and we think it won’t disappoint anyone except maybe tuners. We say that because the Nissan development team proudly claims it has made the car’s ECU tamper-proof. The objective seems to be to portray the engine as environmentally friendly. Yeah, right. And with a little training, tigers make terrific house pets. But tuners always manage to crack the codes, so for those GT-R owners who will inevitably want more, hang in there.

Power finds its way to the ground via a rear-mounted Aichi Kikai six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transaxle with triple cone synchros. The rear diff is a mechanical limited slip; the front is operated by an electronically controlled clutch.

Well my 335i's ecu is tamper proof, the car boosts 8 psi stock. I'm happily boosting 11 psi right now. Just cuz they says it cant be tampered with, doesnt make it true

once I was told

whatever techonology can do, the same technology can un-do smile.gif

so it may take a while for tuners to h@ck it, but I'm sure someone out there will find the way.

does someone remember the iPhone ?

car will be great in the states... but seriously, my stock ssiii is just about too fast for japan, the roads are too packed to open up the throttle, and the max on the expressway (if you follow the rules) is 80k (~55mph)... will get you from red light to red light pretty fast though. none the less i want one biggrin.gif
