idk if this is the right category to be posting in or not, sorry. but im planning on buying a 6th gen st later in the week and its a stick (yippie!) and right off the bat i want to put in a short shifter. Ive heard that a 7th gen short shifter will work but is it hard to install? easy to mess up? and this is what i have my eyes on:
00+ Celica Short Shifter think it will work? thanks for listening to my nub questions lol |

QUOTE(Redline08 @ Oct 23, 2007 - 7:26 PM) counter balance shift knob, mmmm.... whats that It's a weighted knob. Most are stainless steel. Check out TWM site. I have the 1-lb classic knob. It makes a huge difference. http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/ This post has been edited by Gary: Oct 23, 2007 - 10:54 PM -------------------- _Gary

they do make a huge difference. the throw is amazing when combined with a short shifter! but if you live in any place with alot of sunshine, an all metal shifter can get awfully warm!!

^or awfully cold
![]() short shifter install is a breeze. The hardest part for me was getting the shims lined up with the pre-existing bolt holes on the floor. but that link that was posted is great, all the info you need. good luck -------------------- ![]() The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed? |
