Help me to decide which sub I should buy for my car. Just so you guys know, I'm wanting something that sounds good, that will go with my music and not overpower it. Most of the time I'm listening to hard, classic, and new rock, as well as metal. I will occasionally listen to rap. Now for the choices I've narrowed it down to:
10" Kenwood KFC-W2511: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...&i=113W2511 10" Rockford Fosgate P1S410: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...amp;i=575P1S410 10" Infinity Reference 1052W (this sub has dual voice coil, link shows the single voice coil version, but it's the same sub besides that): http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...&i=1081050W My amp choice is either going to be my buddies JL Audio amp or this Sony amp: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...amp;i=158XM1252 Any sub will work with these amps, I'm just wanting a decision for the subwoofer. I was personally thinking Kenwood, because it has 300W, which will mean louder, and it's gotten good reviews. -Matt This post has been edited by GotToyota: Oct 27, 2007 - 9:59 AM |

I'm only wanting opinions about what I have above. I don't want suggestions about anything else. Please tell me what you guys think would be best based on what I have given above, with an explanation.

don't do the p1 it only handles 150 watts.
now that sony amp does 340 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms so you need a 4 ohm sub the kenwood is 4 ohm svc the infinity is 2 or 8 ohm so the best option is definatley the kenwood it will work well bridged to the sony and use some 4ga wiring and you're good to go |

you shouldnt have started this thread since u already have one asking the same question... the answer I would say is go with a quality brand... alpine is always good and affordable but there is always JL and other more expensive subs... in ur case though I would prob go for kenwood too, but a better amp than sony
