I recently switched out all my struts and put Teins springs on. After the installation, I noticed this loud, rubbing whenever I would turn the wheel (only coming from the driver's side). At first, I thought something went wrong with the strut/spring installation (or the sway bar was rubbing), but now I'm certain it's coming directly from the steering wheel itself, inside the column. So, I decided to take apart the two plastic covers near the wheel. The only thing I could think to do was to spray a lubricant inside there. After doing that, I drove the car around and low-and-behold it had disappeared. Unfortunately, the noise returned a day or so later after the lubricant had dried? Anyway, this noise is extremely irratating (almost metal on metal like) and it's just another noise to add to the collection
