Recently my car has been making an odd noise whenever I shift gears. It doesn't happen often, except today. It happend twice. I'm not to sure what it was, but a few of my friends, and myself, thinks it sounds like a wannabe back fire. It's not that loud, but its not exactly quiet either.

Is it a popping noise coming from the front end?

if its a pop it could be a motor mount.
