I have a '99 GT and i'm having some issues with the cruise control. When i push the button to activate it, the "cruise" light blinks on and off and the cruise never kicks in. Any idea as to what this may be?

I checked the fuses and they seem OK. Plus, if it were the fuses, the cruise wouldn't have power to blink, would it? could it be the ECU?

I'm tempted to just take it in to the dealer and see if they can get a code from it or something... i'm sure that would cost, though
