ok its simple
two boys cross the river and push the boat back (never said someone has to be in the boat for it to cross) then the cop and robber cross, (push boat back,) then the man and woman (push boat back) two doughters, done at some point they have to cross the boat back without anyone in it, if the cop cant leave the robber alone and the boat only holds 2. -------------------- ![]() |

The mother and man go across the mother comes back and takes one daughter over. The man and mother come back. the mother takes the last daughter over. The mother comes back the mother and man go over. The man comes back. the policeman and robber go across. The mother comes back. the man and mother go across. the man comes back the man goes across with one son. the woman and man come back. the man brings last son over. the man comes back and picks up the woman!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() no, because then the man would be left with the girls Why do you guys make it so complicated? You can have it this way. I'm sure it can be an answer. Send two daughters or sons first to the other side. Send the other two daughters or sons to the other side. Send over both man and woman to the other side. Then finally the cop and robber go last.. in fact they can go first even. This riddle has too many possible outcomes. How about one very very similar. It's a little less complicated. You have a boat, a chicken, a sack of corn and a wolf. Why you have a wolf? I don't know. You must get the chicken, the corn and the wolf onto the boat to reach the other side of the river. You want to make it as efficient as possible, so there is only one boat trip. Given the size of the animals and the sack of corn... you can only bring over one animal/item across the deck and onto the boat at a time. However, the chicken will eat the corn if you leave it unattended and the wolf wll eat the chicken if unattended. You must find a way to get all three over onto the boat. How do you do so? -------------------- '89 3.1L Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

^ one person has to return to the other side with the boat. and at least one of the people on the boat must be an adult. and as for your riddle... first load the chicken. then the wolf. bring the chicken back. load the corn. then come back for the chicken again.
and i haven't figured out the hat one yet. so can the guy on the very right see both of the guys' hats in front of him? or only the guy directly in front of him? that probably doesn't have much to do with the answer, but just wondering. My turn... there's a guy that hung himself in the middle of a room, there is not furniture or windows and the room is totally flat (IE No visible support beams to grab onto etc etc) and only a door. How did the man hang himself?
