Hey anybody every install under body LED's or neon? Where'd you run the wires and what power source did you connect it to? Also The little ashtray on the back of the center console i want to throw two switches in there, one for my interor lights and one for the under body. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get wire back there?
Thanks. -cnelson.

if i got a set of underbody leds, i would get the ones that are remote controlled, so that i wouldn't have to worry about running switches, but if i were to do switches, i would run the wire from the control/distribution box that comes with the tubes, mount it in the engine bay somewhere, run the switch wiring thru the existing hole in the firewall, run the wires under the center console and into the ashtray. now as for going under the console, you'll probably have to remove a few screws to get the wires exactly where you want, but shouldn't be too difficult. for power source, use a 20amp fuse between the control box and the battery. don't tap into anything, just directly connect to the battery. there should be instructions when you buy the kit. ledunderbody.com has some good kits.

I ran the control box into the center consol. ran the power and ground behind cigarette lighter and put a switch there to turn them on.

The actual wire for the neons I ran under the drivers carpet and down the hole in the center of the door sill. already had a hole there for drainage.. worked perfect. smile.gif

well i'll probably just get one with a remote controll because than i won't have to run wires into the car. And i'll use the ashtray for a swtich for my interor lights because i don't like haveing them on all the time me headlights are on because there connected to the headlight switch. so that should work. i'll probably do all the work after the holidays and hopefully lower my car also.

get a good underbody kit... not a cheap knockoff e-bay one... the tubes suck and will break with just a pebble hitting them... and the clamps suck too.... i had a kit on my st.... there's a reason why streetglow kits are respected and cost $100's, like body kits... the more you spend... the better quality you get.. not everything is like that... but undercarriage LED's are... (from my experience of installing 20+ kits)
