i have my amp mounted to my rear seat. just used 4 screws. the main thing you have to worry about is that there is some slack in the cable that way when you do put the seat down it doesn't put a lot of stress on it.
now are you talking about in the rear seat? like in a custom enclosure? i think i have seen someone on here that has theirs like that but can't remember who it was. i think they just made a custom box out of some wood and fiberglass and cut out a section of the seat to place it in. i wouldn't do that because if anyone sits in the back seat (if they can even fit LOL) they will not have any padding at all. it does look cool but not very functional. you might as well remove the whole back seat and then do a custom box that way. you will also have some slight weight reduction that way. the way to do this to make sure that you have enough wire is to fold the seat down and run the wires into the seat and then place the amp and mark where the terminals for the wires are and cut it so you can get the wires to the amp, then mount the amp using self tapping screws eather 1/2 or 3/4in length works good you need to find something solid or it wont hold, then all you do is cut the wires to length and hook them up
all you really need to watch out for is anything that can pinch the wires also zip ties and electrical tape are your friends to keep everthing bundled and out of the way, just take your time and it will work out good |
