ok, so back in october, bent the inner lip on one of my sets of wheels
dont have any pictures at the moment, but to sum it up.. is a 17" wheel with a 40 sidewall tire, the inside lip im guessing caught the mccadum (sp?) when i swerved and hit a sunken in man hole. the wheel held up 300~miles for the trip home, and it had a minor vibration when looking at the wheel, from how the wheel would normally curve, its bent maybe 1/8th inch to the inside & in towards the outter face tire does not leak air and vibration is noticable doing 70mph+ but i did put some sealant in that area to prevent any possible loss of pressure im guessing could just be outta balance, but not sure anyway... repairing an alloy wheel? let it go? get a new one? will post a pic up later if needed |
