Bush wants to give a tax rebate to people to keep the economy from tanking any farther. Newest estimates are $800 per person who makes less then 85k and 1600 for married people who make less then 110k.

Discuss... What will you buy?

P/T won't get $800 back, and for that matter, I think lots of people won't, they do it as a %age of what you paid out in taxes

if you believe that this is going to happen then you are foolish. This is a sad attempt to put Republicans back in good standings with the people, showing that they are also here for the little guy. its a show piece. its not going to happen. either it wont pass or if it does once they get it then they will start saying that since the money is available there are a lot of other things it could go to that would help the economy out much more then giving it back to the people that gave it up in the first place. lit will go something like this:

Due to the war effort, there has been a drop in Tank orders which has made the manufactures drop in production, and due to this drop we are also seeing a drop in production in gun powder for bullets thus making it very hard for our boys in the NRA to shot bottles off they're front porch. We are also seeing a great decrease in news broadcasts of the war which is causing a greater decrease in Popularity with the hit TV series LOST,so what we are going to do is put it all into big industries so that you as the little people,

Qualifications to be little include: Having a Collage degree and a Law degree, and a PhD.

can have more opportunities in the job world. thus making the economy grow from within.

Sorry guys i don't mean to be going on a rant here but i just don't believe that this will ever come down to low class. its a bold move on a dying Political Party.

I was going to buy a swap (too damned expensive) with my return, but decided on a dslr instead.
I might rethink my lens selection if I have an extra $800.00 or hit up lewfx for some projectors.

The word is that the checks will be *up to* $800 but that something like 40% of people will get nothing... and if it goes through, supposedly they'll actually start on it in June.

I'll bet my stupid refund check that checks hit homes right before the election, a nice little feel-good about the Republican party action and maybe a way to buy votes for Mr. Romney?

I doubt I'd be getting the $800 but whatever I may get I'm afraid I am rather boring on this one haha... My check's going straight to savings...

Future new car aint gonna buy itself unfortunately lol
