Reconditioned should be fine , is there something wrong with your crank that it cant be reground? If it hasn't been reground to many times and the thrust surface is still within specs you should be able to get your crank turned by a local reputable machine shop and be installing it the next day. Should be cheaper to.

What are you doing and how much are you spending?
If i were you, I would order a brand new OEM shortblock from toyota. You can get them for about 1500 bucks, with a 1yr warranty, and it will out last any rebuild.

If you really just need a crank, I would also get a brand new OEM one. Ive seen a few people have issues with the regrinds.

okay I was wondering Cause nothing else is stock internally. Everything in upgraded. It spun a bearing once and wasted my turbo. I had it ground and just want to replace it this time. I doesnt have a spun bearing now but I noticed some flutering in the oil presure gauge and Stopped driving it. It was bought upgraded and i dont know how long ago so Ill feel better just rebuilding the whole thing. Ill check the local dealer hear and see what they run. Thanks again.
