Alright so I was removing my door panels the other day to swap out the stock speakers with aftermarket ones. I started with the passengers side, and didn't have a problem. So i un-screwed all the same bolts off the drivers side as i did the passengers side, and the panel won't budge. It feels like it's stuck in the middle or something. Am I missing a bolt? Or is there something else? I pulled on it til I thought it was gonna break, so I gave up, and am now turning to all of you for help since I can't figure it out kindasad.gif

Yes it is. I've pulled out the switches and panels for the windows off the arm-rest thing, and the panel for the door handle as well

I read that entire thing, and it did explain how to take them off, which is what I did with the passenger one, it worked fine. I tried the same thing on the drivers one, and like I said, it acts stuck and I don't wanna pull on it too hard and break something, I can't afford that.

it's right in the middle by the lower part of the handle on the door
you really have to bend down to see it

Hmm, that might be what the problem is. That's about the area that it felt stuck, so maybe that screw isn't on the passenger side so I assumed it wasn't on the drivers side? I'll try to do it all tomorrow again.

X2 thats exactly where your problem is. I have been playing aroung installing speakers in the door converting to 8speaker system, sort of. But both sides should have that bolt.

This is still on topic: Is there a way to take off only the bottom plastic section of the power window door panel so that you could get to the speaker but not mess with the delicate edge up by the window?

none that i know of. It comes off as a whole.

it honestly isn't hard at all...

you just take out the few screws in the door, along with the clips on the side and the panel lifts straight up. The part top edge part against the window comes straight up and out. I bet you could take off the panel in under 5 minutes, put the speaker in, and put the panel back on in under 15 minutes.

it's easy wink.gif

Ya my passenger side was real easy. I never had to take the bolt in the arm-rest out of that side though. I'm guessing it got lost at some point in the last 14 years lol.

Yea that one screw was my problem. Once I took that out, the panel came out no problem. Speakers went well, and now all I gotta do, which doesn't require any more door-panel-removing lol, is wire my switch for the lights in my speakers that I installed. Should look pretty cool when it's done. I have some in the back already, and they look good.
