i think its not as big of a deal as TV is making it, they beat teams with the best players out. I dont think they will win a championship either, Lakers r gonna take it all.

It is a HUGE deal in NBA to win that many consecutive games especially with your 2nd best player bein out the rest of the season.

22-0 don't mean a thing with out the ring.

Its an accomplishment. A HUGE accomplishment. Doesnt matter if you got the ring or not. They're goin for a league record and they're the best in the Western Conference. This streak and ring are 2 seperate things...Its a record...a team accomplishment. Kinda like this year's Patriots-goin 16-0 in the reg. season but not winning the ring. Its like Marino having all those NFL QB records but never won the Lombardi trophy. Whether they get the ring or not, its a big accomplishment. 22 game winning streak is unbelievable.

Its just a huge let down if u dont win it all. Ask any NBA player what the goal for the season is. Its to win it all, it aint about winning a certain amount of games. How could u say it dont matter if u get the ring or not? That sounds absurd.

More or less, seems like shogun is saying, even if you don't win it all, you still have accomplished something great...which is something to be proud of.

you can't belittle their winning streak because they have gone through half of it without one of their studs.

I dont' think they'll make it out of these next few games undefeated though.

Good for them Rockets.

I'd say it's a huge deal too. Not as huge as getting a ring, but it's up there...

So i guess everybody and every team in the NBA, MLB, NHL, or NFL hall of fame who owns a record but never won a championship is worthless. Makes sense.

To win a championship is every athlete's goal, but just cuz u dont get there doesnt always mean you're a failure. So if an NBA team were to win every game in the NBA season and go undefeated...u wouldnt call taht a feat in itself unless they win a ring? BS. If that's the case i think Cal Ripken is one of the most overrated baseball players in MLB history and shouldnt be recognized as anything but an average ball player. Same with Marino. He is overrated cuz he never won a championship. Karl Malone and Stockton? They're not good cuz they never got the ring. Patriots set numerous records this year as in most points in a season, best team record in an NFL reg. season...they didnt win the super bowl, but it's still one of the greatest seasons by a team in NFL history.

I guess Will Perdue is a better basketball player than Karl Malone simply cuz he has a ring.

I live in houston.... Its a huge deal here. We havent won the championship since mid 90's I'm not saying we will sweep the playoffs BUT they DID just beat the Lakers that supposedly will "take it all" as you say. Even if the lakers do take it all.... It is nice to set a team record and I wish them the best of luck beating the NBA record of consecutive games won. I dont watch basketball but I will be passively rooting them on. Its an accomplishment no matter how you look at it. Good for them.

tonight the Rockets are taking on the Celtics...the best in the NBA against the best in the last month of so in the NBA.

This is goning to be a great game. I believe the Celtics should beat them but the Cs just played the spurs last night and they might not have much left in the tank, especially with Ray Allen out.

This will be a great game to watch and if any team can stop the streak it's should be the Celtics, but I don't think it will happen tonight.

Now u comparing individual performance with team wins? U ask T Mac would he rather be and all star, or have a ring. What do u think he will say? MLB and NFL puts more emphases on solo feats thats why u call get into cooperstown with 15 yeasr of being a mediocre baseball player. There is not best player off the bench award in any other pro league, in the NBA they have the 6th man bcuz basketball is considered more of a team sport then the other pro games. And u r trying 2 tell me the Pats season was not a let down? I mean yeah 22 in nice but it dont make the season. The only reason its this big is bcuz Sportscenter shoves it down your throat so it must be a big deal.

Will Perdue played Center for the Chicago Bulls in the mid to late 90's and won a couple rings with that team. rolleyes.gif

the laker were missing 2 of there best 3 player. I mean the Rockets r not gonna take it all. Its hard for any team to win it. Much less to come out of the west.
