the 1/4 partition stores your windows CD.
So if you unpartition the hard drive you will no longer have your window cd to install a fresh copy onto computer. Also unpartitioning and making one big partition is a tricky task, there is no 100% way of doing it right. Some times it just wont work and corrupt your entire partition. |

copying the oem partition is easy but I would leave it as it is and use the external for just extra space. how big is the 1/4 partition usualy OEM partitions are small around a few hundred mb. seems wierd it was be any larger. you can just copy that to the hd and reformat the partition and use it as a 2nd partition but I would leave it alone.

Or you can just change the HDD over to Dynamic partitions, but that means you won't be able to go back w/o a reimage.
But like Creis said, I would leave it alone and use the external for space. If you want you can create a little partition on the external and install another OS. Dual boot FTMFW! -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I would create a bootable floppy (or CD) (www.bootdisk.com) and make sure that you put the FDISK and Format.com files on there. After you have created the disk, boot from it and run FDISK. From there you can delete and create partitions but be careful. Whenever you delete and create a partition you MUST format the drive. Also, if you do all of this from DOS (the way i explained) the file system will most likely be FAT32. There is a way to boot DOS to recognize NTFS that is explained at the website above but I have not tried it yet.
