started 2 days ago.. the stereo,clock would stay on, then i turn the ignition to "on" position and turn it back to "off" position and it would turn off..then today it happened again only this time it doesnt shut off..got out of my car with my keys and the ignition into "off" position and the stereo and clock are still on along with my radar detector thats pluged into the cig lighter....i kept turning it on and off and it wouldnt shut off!! HELP ME!!!!! i have a feeling that my ignition switch is bad but can this be something else? if i change the ignition switch do i need a new set of keys?

It sounded like ignition barrel itself is screwed. You can order the specific one for ur car by looking at the key code located (im not sure on this) on the driver's door key barrel. Its a combination of # and letters, take that to ur Toyota dealer and they should be a =ble to get you a new igniton barrel.

lol it was caused by a faulty wiring the previous owner have done to it, all the alarm wirings, and audio looked like cobb webb under the steering column.. my mechanic easily figured it out.. thanks a bunch for the help though!
