Well I can't tell you too much b/c it might void my warranty tongue.gif

But I "think" one of the screws (that held the caliper to the rotor/assembly thing) came off (probably wasn't "tighten" enough) so the caliper kind of came (partially) off and jammed against the rotor which caused my wheel to lock (not turn).

Yeah, I'm having it towed to the El Monte Lexus (is that Longo?). It'll be there first thing in the morning, 7am.

No worries, since my bumper got damaged, I think my insurance is going to pay out so I might be getting a body kit now smile.gif

Damn...I KNEW I should have gotten a $250 deductible on this car!

Wait so like, the brakes failed on you, but you didn't crash into anything atleast right? I feel so terrible bout that, cause I've done rotors a bunch of times, and never have I had a problem with the brakes frown.gif. So you're car is going to be at Longo Lexus tomorrow? Is your car already at Longo Lexus? Can you explain what exactly happened? Your brakes don't work at all anymore? The only thing that I can think of is that maybe the passenger brake line got damaged, but still it seemed like your brakes worked fine when you drove out of Marco's house. Where there any symptoms beforehand? Anyways, I should see your car at work tomorrow, I'll make sure we take good care of it for you. I feel really terrible about what happened Nam frown.gif. Maybe I shouldn't become a Toyota/Lexus specialist anymore. I'll just keep my night job as a stripper, it's the only thing I'm good at frown.gif.

i'm sorry to hear about that Nam. frown.gif

Hope everything works out with the tow truck guy's insurance company...

On a side note, we had a great time at Scandia. In spite of getting socked up by the GF for holding her in the corner to get soaked by the stream on the bumper boats. laugh.gif I think Joe saw that incident.

haha yeah, i saw that. and i heard the screams. i "accidentally" bumped my gf into the stream thing and she got stuck there cuz she got water in her motor and it died. i felt bad after a while so i decided to bump her out of the way. the only thing that didn't get wet was her hair. everything else got soaked haha.

well I assume you're taking it to Longo Lexus since Longo is in El Monte, and I don't believe there would be 2 Lexus dealers in one city that isn't that big. Hmm We will have to see how this plays out. I can tell you that if you take it to get an estimate at Longo Collision Center for the body repairs, you are going to get lots of insurance money smile.gif.

Take good care of my car, Derrick smile.gif

I'm had to leave it at Longo and drive back up to SF but I'll be back on Thursday.

Don't worry guys, it's an inconvenience but it's hardly anything to get upset about...although I had hoped that they would have given me a loaner car frown.gif (an IS-F would have been nice tongue.gif )

Haha! LOL...engine died on the boat from water. Wouldn't the engine be something that should be water-proof on a boat? Man, too bad I didn't get a chance to ride them myself.

Haha yeah I saw your car in the lot smile.gif. At first I didn't think it was your car because it has the factory rotors back on it, but then I saw where you tried to put the spoiler and I'm like, "ok this is definatly Nam's car smile.gif". But they didn't give you a loaner!? Dude, if I worked morning shift, I could have hooked you up. But we don't have any IS-F loan cars haha. Only IS250/350 smile.gif. Who did you get as a service consultant? Oh duh! I'll look it up on the computer.. Hmmm damnit, you got Stacy. I don't know her too well. If you had one of the other guys, I probably could have hooked you up with a full tank of gas smile.gif. I'll make sure they wash your car good though. Maybe I'll do it myself smile.gif.
